Wisconsin fishing guides who want to take clients to Michigan lakes now must pay a $300 fee every three years and meet other requirements to maintain their special license.
Sport fishing guides operating in Michigan now need an inland guide license to take clients on inland lakes, rivers and streams. The license came into force on March 1. A license is required for anyone driving on any body of water except the Great Lakes, Great Lakes connecting waters, and bodies of water less than 5 acres in size.
