Wisconsin football: 3-star 2026 linebacker feels ‘really’ good about Badgers

The Wisconsin football coaching staff has maintained close contact with the rising three-star linebacker from the 2026 recruiting class from the very beginning.

Dallas BrannonThe 2026 three-star linebacker from North Carolina is a rising star at the position in the 2026 recruiting class. Brannon’s recruitment really started to heat up after the athlete had a standout season last year, dominating the football field and earning multiple scholarship offers. The Wisconsin football staff has been digging through the 2026 recruiting class to find players who truly emulate the style of football they want to play. At the linebacker position, the staff went to North Carolina to find a player who stands out in the film room.

2026 three star linebacker Dallas Brannon was one of the more exhilarating linebackers to watch in the 2026 recruiting class. Brannon currently has offers from major programs such as Civil Registry Office, Tennessee, Miami, Be a ladyAND Michigan and many others.

Brannon is also a scholarship player with the Wisconsin football staff, with whom he has maintained regular contact since the beginning of the recruiting period. Defensive coordinator Mike Tressel spoke with Brannon, but the recruit states he has been in contact primarily with the assistant defensive backs coach Borland tuff.

For Brannon, playing college football is not only something that has been a long-time goal, but also a milestone in his football career. Brannon wants to be the best of the best when it comes to being a linebacker and is willing to put in the work wherever he can to achieve that. When asked about his goals in college, Brannon replied, “Honestly, I just want to be in a developmental program.”

The Wisconsin football staff loves Brannon’s attitude, and his drive for success on the field is contagious. The linebacker has a different level of agility that allows him to make plays that other linebackers may struggle to make. In addition to his agility and athleticism, Brannon is also a student of the game who places a high priority on learning and understanding the defense and his role within it.

For the Wisconsin football staff, building a relationship with Brannon is the first step in their plan to recruit an athlete. Brannon cited the communication throughout the process as a “blessing” and believes that opens up the most opportunities. But what Brannon is really focused on as he navigates the recruiting process is what the staff and program can do for him.

The recruit said, “The scheme is important, but I want the opportunity to develop at the highest level.” Brannon is focused on his development, and while other factors, such as the quality and attitude of the staff, matter, his ultimate goal of becoming a top-tier linebacker trumps other recruiting interests.
