With the 2026 recruiting period now open, the Wisconsin football staff has reached out to a three-star linebacker named Jaylyn ColterColter, who is currently the No. 2 overall recruit in Arizona, has five scholarship offers from major programs. Oregon, State of Arizona, Prince, NevadaAND UNLV Everyone has offers for the linebacker.
Today, Colter says, “Oregon, Oregon State, ASU and Duke have kept in touch with me on a regular basis and let me know how much I mean to their programs.” State of Oregon hasn’t yet offered Colter a scholarship, but has been closely monitoring the candidate’s development.
Jaylyn Colter: ‘Honestly, I think Wisconsin is an amazing school’
For the junior linebacker, Colter, the recruiting process has been going great so far as he looks for the right fit with the program. Although they haven’t made an offer at linebacker yet, Colter was asked about his thoughts on Wisconsin and their staff. Colter stated, “I honestly think Wisconsin is a great school with a really good football culture.”
The linebacker also stated, “They first contacted me when I was ready to be recruited.”
As soon as the recruiting period began, the Wisconsin football staff reached out to hundreds of 2026 recruits they were scouting. Colter was one of the guys who really shined on the field last season, and the Wisconsin football staff wanted to make sure he knew he had his skills on display.

Colter is a speedy, highly mobile linebacker who is constantly flying around the field looking for the next play.
