The Wisconsin football staff has taken particular interest in one three-star safety from Arizona in the 2026 recruiting class.

Wisconsin football safety three-star Seth Thues excited about ‘velvety sailing’ process
While it’s still early to recruit for 2026, the three-star quarterback Zeth Thursday is already focused on building relationships for the future. Thues, a 2026 safety from Arizona, is currently considered one of the top safeties in his state. The Wisconsin football staff has been watching Thues since his freshman season of high school football and now hopes to connect with the recruit.
When asked about the process, Thues said everything has been going “smoothly” so far as some programs have started contacting him. The security assistant maintained close contact with Arizona StateWisconsin i State of Kansas so far. Thues revealed that these three shows are currently his most intriguing shows considering his long-standing association with each of them.

Thues admitted he was a Wisconsin fan and had watched them in the past, but that wasn’t what attracted him to them. When asked what he’s looking for in a program, Thues stated, “I’m mainly looking for a program that has an amazing atmosphere and honest coaches who build their players.”
The safety also stated, “Honestly, I’m definitely leaning towards these three programs. They’ve shown me love since the beginning of my high school career and I’ve started building a good relationship with them.”
Thues also places great importance on building relationships with each member of staff and knowing their expectations both on and off the pitch.
The Wisconsin Badgers football team hopes to host Thues on a future visit
The key to landing Thursday in the future for the Wisconsin football staff will be maintaining a close relationship with the recruit. When asked about the programs he would like to connect with, Thues admitted that his “dream” program was Ohio State Buckeye. However, Thues said, “Lately, I’ve gravitated toward programs that have contacted me frequently.”
The safety is focused on developing relationships at this point, and regardless of the program, if he doesn’t show interest, he’ll focus on who does. The first step for Wisconsin State is to invite Thues to campus for a visit in the future.
