In a recent interview, the Wisconsin football prospect and Arrowhead safety Jacek Tarkowski talked about his recruitment experiences.
Tarkowski, a 2026 linebacker and athlete from Hartland, Wisconsin, has been on the radar of the Wisconsin Badgers football staff since recruiting began. The safety has been a long-time fan of the program and would love the opportunity to play for the Badgers if the opportunity arises. During a recent conversation, Tarkovsky talked about his recruitment and what he “would like” to do.

Like many other Wisconsin kids involved in football, he hails from Hartland and Arrowhead student-athlete Jacek Tarkowski has been a Badgers fan for as long as he can remember. Tarkowski stated, “I would be honored to receive an offer from any school that thinks I’m a good fit for their program, although having grown up watching the Badgers, I would love to stay home and play football for Wisconsin.”
Tarkovsky tells Wisconsin Sports Heroes that he contacted the Wisconsin football staff, State of North DakotaAND Central Michigan over the last week.

For Tarkovsky, the results on the field were not as good as he would have liked, but the safety showed great potential. Tarkovsky is an emotional competitor and always works as demanding as he can to win. The safety stated, “Since I was a little kid, I have always been interested in sports and have always hated losing.”
The safety always wants to be the best, which is why he started gaining recognition for his skills in gigantic programs. One such program was the Wisconsin Badgers football program, whose staff had been in contact with Tarkowski since his recruitment began. Tarkowski also excelled at the recent Wisconsin football camp and caught the attention of the staff.
While Tarkowski would love to play for Wisconsin, he also admitted he’s not quite ready on the field to be a Badger. Tarkowski was quoted as saying, “I still have a ways to go to become a Badger, but there’s always a chance and I’m looking forward to the upcoming season with Arrowhead.”

While Tarkowski would love to play football at Wisconsin, he also admits he still has a lot of work to do before that opportunity presents itself. Tarkovsky said: “Our talks are still at an early stage.”
Safety comes from getting to know the staff and understanding what they will expect of them in order to become a Badger. After several months of developing relationships and Tarkowski’s success in the field, Wisconsin is likely to extend the offer.
