Wisconsin Football, B1G Rivals Scouting Dominant Three-Star Offensive Quarterback

The Wisconsin football coaching staff has been keeping a close eye on the talented offensive quarterback Recruiting Class of 2026.

Wisconsin football is considering signing three-star offensive lineman Marlen Bright in 2026.

The Wisconsin football staff really loves their offensive line, and in order to maintain the standard of the line they have, recruiting becomes key. One such recruiting target that the Wisconsin football staff recently began monitoring is a three-star offensive quarterback with the class of 2026 Marlene Bright.

Bright, a New Jersey native, currently has 24 scholarship offers, with more likely to come for the large man. At 6-foot-6 and weighing in at around 260 pounds, Bright provides both the frame and size to become a dominant college linebacker.

The Wisconsin football staff has not yet offered Bright a scholarship and has only just begun the recruiting process. As the staff continues to watch film on Bright, the chances of him earning another scholarship are diminishing. Big Ten Conference A scholarship from the Wisconsin football staff seems likely.

For Bright, the college recruiting process was a bit unique because Bright drew incredible interest from the get-go. Typically, certain programs show more interest than others, or perhaps reach out to recruits more than others. In Bright’s case, every interested program really pushed strenuous to develop a relationship with the offensive quarterback.

When asked which programs get the most attention, Bright replied, “Really all of them.” The offensive lineman added, “All of them reach out to me every day and they all show me love.”

Bright in particular has attracted a lot of attention Big Ten Conference with offers from Illinois, Penn State, Rutgers, Indiana, MinnesotaAND Maryland. New conference supplement University of California, Los Angeles also offered a scholarship and expressed interest in Bright.

For the Wisconsin football staff and many other programs, Bright offers both speed and technique that are strenuous to find. When asked to describe his playing style, Bright stated, “I feel like I’m faster than most other players, and my technique sets me apart from other recruits.”

The offensive playmaker is able to maintain technique while working at full speed, which has allowed him to block faster than most offensive players. The balance between technique and speed is definitely Bright’s best skill, but the playmaker also provides a lot of punch behind the blocks. At 6-foot-6 and weighing in at nearly 260 pounds behind the blocks, Bright is able to block both rapid and powerful tacklers thanks to his size.
