The Wisconsin football team had plenty of opportunities to win against the Penn State Nittany Lions, but couldn’t take advantage of them in the loss.
The Badgers They started the first half solidly and looked to be in a great position to score points. Penn State quarterback Drew Allar left the game midway through the game, along with the Nittany Lions’ two starting linebackers. However, the Badgers were their own worst enemy in the second half and ultimately lost due to some energetic plays.
The most energetic play of them all was a pick-six by Wisconsin football quarterback Braedyn Locke. The quarterback didn’t see the safety in midfield and passed directly to the defender. With a few moves, the defender quickly found the end zone, giving the Nittany Lions a 14-10 lead over the Badgers.

This is the gigantic mistake Braedyn Locke had to avoid.#Badgers

When Wisconsin got the ball back, a penalty was assessed to the Nittany Lions, allowing the Badgers to gain solid field position. Wisconsin scored to tie the game, but it seemed the team had done the damage.
Braedyn Locke: 22-42, 217 yards, 1 INT
Will Pauling: 8 receptions, 79 yards
Hunter Wohler: 11.0 tackles
Jaheim Thomas: 9.0 tackles, 1 TFL

After scoring, the Badgers again failed to score on offense and watched backup point guard Beau Pribula pick apart the defense. The Wisconsin football team showed real promise before the loss, but they have taken some gigantic steps back from a team that is simply more talented in every way.
The Wisconsin football team will have to hit the drawing board before facing the Iowa Hawkeyes next.
Wisconsin football looks to gain momentum on offense against Penn State
While the Wisconsin defense didn’t have its best game, the Wisconsin football offense didn’t gain any momentum after a pick six, which ultimately ended the game for the Badgers.
The Wisconsin football team allowed a long, 13-play drive that ended in a touchdown and gave the Nittany Lions an extended lead. After the score, Wisconsin was down three points and had no answer to Penn State’s offense. After a possession flop, the Wisconsin football team only touched the ball one more time and ultimately turned the ball over on downs.
Wisconsin was unable to find any rhythm or momentum on offense, which ultimately resulted in the Badgers winning against the Nittany Lions.
