Wisconsin Football staff keeps a close eye on talented athlete Ace Brown
This Wisconsin Badgers Football the staff has been working strenuous to find athletes and so-called “Dawgs” on the field who want to compete. One such individual the staff recently reached out to is 2026 three-star athlete Ace Bronze. Brown is now considered an athlete for his ability to play multiple guard positions and even tight end, but he is primarily used as an edge rusher.
Brown is originally from Youngstown, Ohio, but came to Akron to attend the renowned Archbishop Hoban High School. The school has produced several talented players on the football field, including Tyrrell Sutton, LaTroy LewisAND James Harrison for one semester. The school currently has four of the top 50 recruits in the 2026 recruiting class in the state of Ohio.
The athlete is entering a pivotal junior season that could lead to a huge augment in both offers and attention from colleges. Brown has been working strenuous to prepare for the season and plans to show his full potential on the field. The junior has grown nearly three inches, creating a fresh avenue for himself with his length.
Brown currently has four scholarship offers from Bowling Green, Kentucky, Toledo and Miami of Ohio. Brown does not yet have a scholarship from Wisconsin, but he has received a lot of attention from them, as have Pitt and Cincinnati, which also did not offer a scholarship. Michigan, West Virginia, Ohio State and Penn State have also recently reached out to Brown.
What could Brown potentially offer the Wisconsin Badgers football defense?
Brown has drawn a lot of interest from coaches and college programs ahead of the 2024 season, and that’s largely due to his play style. At 6-foot-5 and 215 pounds, Brown uses his length and quickness to get past opposing blockers with ease. When Brown is on the field, opposing quarterbacks have to get rid of the ball quickly or a defender will get a sack.
The receiver has a wide range of moves and multiple routes to the quarterback and regularly uses his arsenal. But Brown’s most effective move on the tape is his spin move, which creates exceptional separation and often results in a massive play for Brown. Brown also has exceptional freedom and is able to break away from the lineman and make the necessary tackle.
Brown isn’t just a long, quick rusher on defense, as he also has impressive strength that allows him to push blockers back. The defender has a great feel for the game and understands what moves will work against different types of offenses. His intelligence and employ of his entire skill set could be what really sets this athlete apart this upcoming season.
For the Wisconsin football staff, utilizing Brown on defense is something the staff has had no problem with. The player is quick and long off the edge and fits the edge rusher scheme of Wisconsin’s defense. Brown can get to the quarterback and will sacrifice his body to do so, which the staff really loves to see.
Wisconsin has primarily recruited bigger, more physical edge rushers over the past two years, but Brown could buck that trend. The edge rusher’s speed also allows him to chase down running backs and break free of blocks to make quick plays. Brown’s style of play could certainly be what the Badgers envision when they put a linebacker on the field.
The Wisconsin football staff also reportedly considered Brown as a tight end prospect, given his size and great hands at his current position. Brown could potentially play tight end in college, but he appears to have more potential offers as an outside linebacker or edge rusher depending on the scheme. While that could thwart any decisions, Brown is committed to focusing on the class before considering the scheme or personnel.
