Korz Lokennow a four-star 2027 quarterback from Wisconsin, he was recently added to the recruiting database ranking system by On3 Sports. Loken is widely considered one of the top recruits in the state of Wisconsin in his recruiting class, if not the top. With a fourth star and more motivation added to this upcoming season for the tight end, it could be quite the spectacle to watch when Loken takes the field.
Wisconsin football target Korz Loken earns four stars, highest rating in state
After a long wait for the 2027 football recruiting rankings to drop, the phenomenon from that state Korz Loken officially earned four-star tight end status. Loken, a native of Iola-Scandinavia, came onto the radar of the Wisconsin football staff after a successful freshman campaign last season. Loken is no average tight end, with a scarce combination of speed and strength at his position.
It’s often demanding to find tight ends who love to catch the ball while also being great at blocking. Loken is the opposite, however, as he loves to support his team in any way he can, even if it means taking on an intense block when needed. In addition to his four-star rating, Loken was also rated as the top player in the state of Wisconsin in the 2027 recruiting class.
The Wisconsin football coaching staff has been trying to build a rapport with Loken and will host him next month when South Dakota State visits Madison.
Can Loken get a fifth star after the 2024 football season?
Entering his second season of high school football as a four-star recruit, Loken has the potential to earn a fifth and final star. Loken previously spoke with Sports Heroics in Wisconsin staff and gave insight into the attack his team is running in Iola-Scandinavia. With a run-oriented attack, it may be challenging for Loken to reach a five-star rating, but it’s certainly not impossible.
Loken is a large, physical tight end who really enjoys blocking and enjoys the thrill of throwing to his opponent. While he doesn’t get many opportunities to make a difference through the air, that hasn’t stopped Loken from working to become the best tight end he can be. When given the chance, Loken is a vigorous receiver who has the ability to bypass or simply run over any defender in his path.
Will the Wisconsin Badgers football staff be able to acquire Loken in the future?
There’s no doubt Loken will soon become a sizzling commodity in the college football recruiting world, which doesn’t guarantee a bonus close to home for the Badgers. Wisconsin will face stiff competition, and Iowa State has a cushioned spot in the recruit’s heart after being his first scholarship offer.
The Wisconsin football staff has a lot of work ahead of them to land Loken, and it all starts with that elusive scholarship. The Wisconsin staff admits they haven’t done much work on the 2027 recruiting class yet, but they will likely start handing out scholarships to the class. Loken should be certain of an offer from Wisconsin, but it’s just a matter of time before that happens.
A turning point in Loken’s recruitment could come sooner rather than later, as the recruit is set to take part in South Dakota-Wisconsin game next month. This visit could be the time when the staff extends Loken’s scholarship, which is certainly worth keeping an eye on.
