Wisconsin Football Extends Scholarship for Solid, Physical 2027 Linebackers

The Wisconsin football coaching staff has already begun working on the 2027 recruiting class, which recently resulted in a scholarship offer to one recruit.

Brian Williams2027 linebacker from Arlington, Texas, has emerged as a top recruiting target for the Wisconsin football staff in the 2027 class. Williams is a energetic and aggressive player on the football field, covering a lot of ground and delivering powerful blows to opponents. After scouting several states to prepare for the 2027 recruiting season, the Wisconsin football staff has extended several scholarship offers. Among the extended offers was one that went to a Texas linebacker named Brian Williams who has quickly become a high-flying prospect in the class. While Williams has several scholarship offers, he has also attracted attention from nearly every school in Big 12 Conference at different levels.

Williams currently has nine scholarship offers and has received a lot of attention after an excellent season on the field. In his first season as a middle linebacker, Williams recorded 89 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, one sack and three pass breakups. The linebacker quickly proved that he not only had the ability to succeed on defense, but also had the speed, vision and throwing ability to hit running backs in the backfield.

Who was interested in Williams at the beginning of the recruitment?

Williams currently has nine scholarship offers from several major power conference programs in contact. Williams has offers from Arkansas, state of ohio, Bay, Nebraska, Coloradoand the Wisconsin football program and others.

Two programs that extended scholarship offers and maintained close contact with Williams early on were Southern Methodist University and Baylor. Both schools have expressed robust interest in Williams and believe the linebacker could become a starter once he steps on campus. The Buckeyes, Cornhuskers and Buffaloes have also been in touch, but have so far only exchanged emails and text messages with the recruit.

What does the Wisconsin Badgers football coaching staff see in Williams?

For the Wisconsin football staff, Williams offers not only versatility as a linebacker with speed and power, but also a great knowledge of the game. The recruit likes to consider himself a student of the game, constantly learning more about the position in order to improve his play on the field.

Physically, football came easily to Williams, who is 6-foot-1, 210 pounds and has a burst of speed. Williams already has the physical tools to dominate the position, but he’ll only get bigger as he continues to grow. With more mass, the linebacker would be a dominant force on the defensive side of the ball.
