The Wisconsin football staff has signed one of the best defensive backs in the state of Connecticut.
Earlier this week, Charles “CJ” Bell, a defensive back from Oakdale, Connecticut, has included the Wisconsin football program on his final list of schools. Bell has been an stimulating high school player thus far, and now he has the potential to do the same at the college level. Wisconsin football joins Rutgers, Boston CollegeAND Minnesota as Bell’s current top schools.
Wisconsin football selects talented, versatile linebacker C.J. Bell
Earlier this week, one of Connecticut’s top linebackers announced his latest group of programs. C.J. Bell, a four-star linebacker for the St. Thomas More in Oakdale, Conn., dropped the list of schools he will be taking official visits to and put the Badgers on his list because he will continue to close schools. Bell currently has 14 scholarship offers, but as visit season approaches, he has narrowed his list to a few schools.
According to him, Bell has made three official visits so far 247 Sportsand will visit the Wisconsin football program on June 14. Bell’s first stop will be Rutgers on May 31, a date Badgers fans should definitely watch due to their close ties to Bell.
Wisconsin Badgers Football plans another secondary commitment in the 2025 class
If there was one member of the Badgers staff who worked the hardest, it would definitely be defensive backs coach Paul Haynes. Haynes helped attract major high school recruits in previous cycles while providing one of the best secondary teams in college football last season. During the current recruiting cycle, Haynes has been very busy after landing four defenders so far, and there’s another potential commitment on the way.
During the recruitment process, Bella Haynes led everyone and was the main point of contact for Wisconsin football staff. Bell still shows signs of being a raw prospect at times, but the four-star recruit would be a perfect fit for both the system Haynes provides and the team itself.
Can the Wisconsin football staff secure a commitment from C.J. Bell?
For the Wisconsin football staff, landing Bell may be a elevated order given the college’s interest, but the recruiter really does make a difference in the program. Wisconsin was quick to sign Bell, and Coach Haynes in particular made it his goal to turn the talented Badger defender. Wisconsin likely could have ended up landing Bell solely on their perseverance and determination.
