The Wisconsin football coaching staff has begun its preliminary screening of the 2026 class of prospects, and one particular wide receiver has become a top target.

Wisconsin football is targeting standout four-star wide receiver Jaylen Pile
The Wisconsin football staff recently began seriously recruiting the 2026 class after the contact recruitment phase began. The Badgers staff worked challenging to gather the best possible recruits they felt would fit the needs of the program. One such recruit, who has a long history with the Wisconsin staff, became a solemn target for the 2026 class.
Jaylen’s StackThe four-star wide receiver from Texas was originally recruited by Wisconsin’s wide receivers coach Kenny Guiton when he was still working for Arkansas RazorbacksSince joining the Wisconsin football staff in January, Guiton has worked to build on the relationships he created at Arkansas.
Pile was a unique receiver who the Wisconsin football staff loved early on because of his wide range of skills on the field. Wisconsin isn’t the only school, though, as Michigan, Oklahoma, Penn StateAND State of Florida also remained in close contact.
Jaylen Pile: ‘I’m looking for a program with excellent academics that will develop me on and off the field’
For Pile, the key to finding the right college home is the all-around greatness of the program on and off the field. The receiver stated, “I’m looking for a program with excellent academics that will develop me on and off the field, where I can play against great competition.”
Pile wants to be part of a school that faces stiff competition while also holding its athletes to a high standard off the field.
On the field, however, Pile has little room to grow as he has become an exceptional all-around playmaker. When asked about his skills, Pile stated, “I’m a route runner, I run the whole route, and I can play inside or outside.” The receiver continued by saying, “I create separation at the line of scrimmage and at the top of the route.”
Pile noted that he is still working on adding different moves and routes to his “bag” as he prepares for college football.
Will the Wisconsin Badgers football staff be able to sign a contract in the near future?
For the Wisconsin football staff, the key to getting Pile to commit in the future would be showing the recruit how the school and team can assist him. Pile is focused on what the program can do for him on the field and in the classroom as he prepares for his future. Like many recruits, Pile dreams of playing in the NFL, but he also knows he has to be prepared for any eventuality.
