The Wisconsin football team, which has won its last three games and outscored its opponents 117-16, welcomes third-ranked Penn State to Camp Randall on Saturday night. This time, about a month ago, the Badgers’ schedule was challenging to find even five wins. They are currently 5-2 and just one win away from bowl qualifying. Like many fans, I feel more confident going into this game than the Alabama game. It will still be a arduous match. Starts at 6:30 p.m. on NBC. Here’s an early look at Penn State
The Wisconsin football defense will have a arduous running back duo to defend
When we look at Penn State’s offense, the Nittany Lions have two solid dual-threat defenders who pose threats. Junior Nicholas Singleton prefers to return passes. He leads the team with 434 yards on just 63 carries and three touchdowns. Singleton has 10 receptions for 113 yards and three more scores.
The other runner is junior Kaytron Allen. He’s more of a duo runner with 423 yards on 90 carries and three touchdowns. He has just three catches and another score for 30 yards. Allen and Singleton scored 10 of the Nittany Lions’ 26 touchdowns.
This will be the best set of linebackers the Wisconsin football defense has faced this year. They may not be the best true runners, but both Singleton and Allen are threats all over the field. If the Badgers can’t stop them, it could be a arduous night.
So far, it is not a dominant crime
As the No. 3 team in the nation, Penn State’s offensive stats are unremarkable. They are averaging 34 points per game, but have only scored 30 or more points once since September 21st. I think part of it is because quarterback Drew Aller isn’t really taking any chances when he throws the ball. He knows his location well and places it only where his receiver can find it.
However, this does not mean that this crime cannot be perilous. They are capable and have the talent to blow the match away. I don’t think that will be the case in Saturday’s game against the Wisconsin football team. It will be compelling to see how Wisconsin’s secondary defends and attacks Aller. This will be the best high school they will face all year.
Wisconsin football can be a trap game
Penn State has a bye in a week, so they should be fully rested. After the Badgers, Penn State hosts Game 4 against Ohio next week at 11 a.m. In some ways, it’s a quick turnaround. The winner of Penn State and Ohio State will likely be best positioned to face Oregon in the Big Ten Championship Game.
In some ways, Wisconsin football wasn’t completely eliminated from the College Football Playoff, but they would have to take control of the standings. They’ll get to the bowl game. I think Wisconsin football is playing with money from home under the lights at home on homecoming week. The crowd and atmosphere will be bigger than most home games last year. If I’m from Penn State, I’m not sleeping on the Wisconsin football team. Huge upset is possible here.
