With the 2026 draft open, the Wisconsin football staff quickly went on a quest to find prototypical players who would fit the bill. One of those players was the physical 2026 offensive tackle and New Jersey native Seth Clarke.

Clarke currently has four scholarship offers from Prince, Maine, FordhamAND Rutgers. However, the linebacker has been in contact with the Wisconsin football program and other Power Conference members since the recruiting period began. Although Clarke has yet to receive any other major offers since the period began.

It should only be a matter of time for a versatile edge rusher to emerge due to his combination of strength and mental agility. Clarke is not simply a bull rusher, but rather a versatile edge rusher with a lot of versatility at his position.

The process is still fairly modern for Clarke, so many of the offers or connections he was looking for haven’t happened yet. However, Clarke isn’t letting that stop him from reaching out to the teams he first connected with. For Clarke, the most vital thing was finding a program that “…will treat me like family the moment I step on campus.”

When asked about the recruitment process, Clarke stated, “There are a few programs that I’m interested in, but I haven’t gotten an offer yet.” Clarke also added, “They seem like a great fit for my skills and interests. I hope to get offers from them in the near future.”

While the process is just beginning for Clarke, the edge rusher feels he has a lot to offer teams that have shown interest. Clarke brings excellent range and football intelligence to the field that teams and coaches simply can’t teach. In addition, the edge rusher also has a great motor and drive at his position as he consistently looks to make an impact on every play.

Can the Wisconsin Badgers football coaching staff give Clarke room to develop?

One of the key aspects of Clarke’s recruiting process was finding a place to call both home and an office. Clarke doesn’t just want to make connections and play football, but rather dominate on the field and potentially earn a coveted spot in the NFL someday. But that doesn’t happen without support, effort and a willingness to facilitate.

When asked what he’s looking for in a school, Clarke stated: “A school where the relationships I build during my time there will stay with me long after I’m done playing football.” It’s clear the defender has an eye for an environment that will provide him with more than just success on the pitch.
