Wisconsin Football: Tyler Van Dyke’s huge transfer portal decision sparks wild fan reactions

Tyler Van Dyke is apparently leaving Wisconsin football as he is reportedly entering the transfer portal. The Wisconsin Badgers quarterback only appeared in three games in the 2024 college football regular season, with his first year with the team cut miniature by a brutal ACL injury he suffered against the Alabama Crimson Tide at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison on September 14.

In the Badgers’ three games at center in 2024, Van Dyke, who turns 24 next March, has thrown just 422 passing yards and a touchdown with no interceptions. He also ran for 26 yards and a touchdown on a total of 15 carries for the Badgers, who finished the regular season with just a 5-7 overall record and 3-6 against Big Ten opponents.

Before coming to Wisconsin, Van Dyke spent four years with the Miami Hurricanes.

After Van Dyke was injured against Alabama, the Badgers opted to utilize Braedyn Locke to take over the team’s starting quarterback duties.

“The guy will be selling life insurance this fall.”

“I feel like Dyke has been playing college football for a decade.”

“Let’s wish him good health and all the best. Like any college football fan, regardless of class or decency. People who slander him in any way are real trash.”

“CarMax Madison General Manager Upon Receiving This Message.”
