Members of two Citizens’ Deer Advisory Committees in neighboring counties went in different directions on suggestions for antlerless deer quotas from deer hunters who provided input to the councils.
Vilas County CDAC members ignored overwhelming requests from deer hunters to reduce county antlerless harvest quotas and tag numbers and raised both numbers for the 2024 season. A week later, Oneida County CDAC members listened to public opinion and lowered their 2024 advisories from their levels last year.
