Wisconsin mixed bag: DNR looking for game recruits


Madison-Wisconsin DNR accepts applications for another class of recruitment of security guards from April 10 to May 6, with the expectations of employment of about 10 full-time guards. Selected candidates will start training in January 2026 or April 2026, depending on the level of experience.

DNR encourages candidates from various environments. Learn to look for bears under the care

Madison-DNR and conservation protection partners encourage beginner hunters who want to learn about bears hunting to apply for the Bear program, which aims to promote the awareness of bears hunting in Wisconsin. The program includes many class and field sessions, which culminated in bears hunting. Participants will learn about Bear biology, population management, habits, habitats, hunting techniques, regulations and security.

Participants must be at least 10 years venerable. There is no maximum age. The number of programs offered differs annually and will affect the number of selected participants. Fisheries clinics of children from the south -eastern one is April 12

Milwaukee – children aged 15 and younger will have nine fishing clinics to choose from in Milwaukee and Washington Saturday, April 12. The sessions will last from 9:00 to 15:00 under the guidance of a local fishing club who have been running these clinics for generations. The first fishing clinic for children in the south -eastern Wisconsin took place 40 years ago.

The clinics start every hour at 9 am, in addition to free fishing lessons for beginners, DNR cooperates with local clubs to organize activities such as fish printing, casting games and prizes. The clinics will rain or shine, so children should dress in the weather. Fishing equipment is available, but participants can bring their own.
