Wisconsin Natural Resources Board panel appears to support wolf control plan

Recent changes to the DNR’s updated wolf plan drew a flurry of comments and questions from five members of the Natural Resources Board (NRB) at a Sept. 27 meeting. All five expressed support for the plan.
The comments showed they believe the novel plan is critical to wolf management, will encourage delisting and will assist citizens deal with problems caused by wolves. Randy Johnson, DNR gigantic carnivore specialist, gave board members a brief report on the plan, which will go before the board for approval Oct. 25 in Madison.
