Volunteers from local sports clubs who have been raising trout with the DNR for more than 55 years are still trying to understand the agency’s decision to suspend the popular cooperative stocking program.
Since we published the first article earlier this month, members of the Independence Elk Rod and Gun Club have contacted their local legislature in an attempt to get some response from the agency. Rep. Treig Pronschinske, R-Mondovi, took the ball last week but had not made any resolution for the caucus on the matter as of press time.
