Historic biking experience on the Elroy-Sparta State Trail
The Elroy-Sparta State Trail is a must-see historical site in Wisconsin by bike. Considered to be the first rail-to-trail project in the country, it winds through Driftless for 52 miles and connects five tiny towns between Monroe and Juneau counties.
The trail is famed for its three rock tunnels, which were built 140 years ago to bring trains through the area. Cycle through the historic tunnels for an experience you won’t find in many other places.
