One thing that stood out for the Wisconsin volleyball team against Bradley was the difficulty with conversion times. Aside from Booth, who shot 71.4 percent, Wisconsin’s next three top scorers shot a combined 24.9 percent against Bradley. It was a particularly arduous night for Franklin, who had ten kills on 29 attacks.

While Wisconsin has struggled at times, the shots will be off as the team continues to work on its preseason form.

Badgers have three arduous tests specifically, they have a showcase ahead of them to kick off the 2024 volleyball season. First, Wisconsin travels to Louisville, Kentucky to face the #6 Louisville Cardinals in what will be the first real test of the season. Bradley admitted he faced the Badgers and didn’t let up, but the Cardinals should be a whole other level of competition for Wisconsin.

However, the Wisconsin volleyball team will not have a moment of respite after their match against the Cardinals, as they will then enter Women’s University Volleyball Showcase at the Fiserv Forum. Texas, Wisconsin, Stanford and Minnesota are the four teams invited this season, with the first three reaching the national quarterfinals last season. The Wisconsin Badgers will first face the top-ranked Texas Longhorns, then the #5 Stanford Cardinal a day later.

The Wisconsin Badgers volleyball team will face five ranked opponents in its first ten games of the season, including the top-ranked school in Texas. The Badgers really couldn’t have asked for a more arduous way to start the season, but there’s also no better way to see what this team is made of than by challenging themselves early on.
