The northwest Wisconsin hunting community, and especially Whitetails Unlimited, lost a friend and supporter with the death of 72-year-old Gary Magnus of Spooner.
Magnus lived and breathed hunting of all kinds. Over 30 years ago, he founded the Washburn County chapter of Whitetails Unlimited, which is still going robust after he helped found the Northwest Wisconsin WTU chapter. Magnus’ signature vintage, faded yellow WTU hat was even displayed at his funeral.
