Wisconsin Wildlife Federation: Lack of tribal harvest results in lack of control over wolf population

Wisconsin Wildlife Federation (WWF) board members reviewed the DNR’s proposed constant wolf regulations and filed multiple objections with the DNR, stating that the group “opposes (the plan) in its current form and strongly urges the DNR to make the following changes.”
At the end of its letter, WWF pointed out that federal judge Barbara Crabb said the DNR could make changes to the quotas if the state’s six Chippewa tribes did not participate in the harvest season and reduce their 50% quota.
