On June 26, Wisconsin DNR presented unlawful amounts of deer collection and the framework of the 2024 season to the Council for Natural Resources (NRB), and members of the management board change the DNR recommendation to issue 400 unnecessary deer tags in public areas in Bayfield and Oneid.
Deer hunters and CDAC members fought powerfully during the meetings of this spring, before they decided to hunt only in public in both poviats to escalate the number of deer in public land in future years.
